Tallowa Dam

Situated at the junction of the Kangaroo and Shoalhaven Rivers, approximately 23 kilometres from the picturesque Kangaroo Valley village, the 43 metre high dam holds water from a 5,821 square kilometre catchment, forming a 930 hectare lake holding 90,000 megalitres.
Facilities include picnic tables, electric barbecues, untreated water, toilets, disabled toilets and viewing areas.
View the largest fish lift of its kind in Australia, which transports fish over the dam wall in a 2,500 litre bucket. The fish lift is helping to protect 10 native fish species by allowing them to migrate between the lower and upper Shoalhaven River.
